We are working with a rapidly growing underground utility company in the Nashville area who is seeking a skilled Designer / Draftsman to join their team. $65,000 – $75,000 a year
Responsibilities
• Design and draft underground utilities including fire lines, domestic water, sanitary sewer, and storm drains
• Prepare drawings for submission and as-built documentation
• Perform material take-offs to support estimators in bid preparation
• Collaborate with general contractors and their teams to maximize productivity
• Maintain high safety standards and awareness on job sites
• Communicate effectively with office and field personnel
• Work overtime when required and contribute to a team-oriented environment
Qualifications
• Verifiable experience in utility design (sanitary sewer, water, fire line, storm drain)
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
• Ability to read and interpret utility plans and specifications
• Experience in construction coordination with general contractors & engineers
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must pass a drug screen and background check
