The Role

The Senior Product Designer will be responsible for the design and implementation of all visual product experiences a Jobscan member interacts with, including the Jobscan web applications and marketing websites. You will work closely with product management, marketing, and engineering teams to ideate, create, and launch new features and improve existing features with a focus on usability, usefulness, and visual design. The successful candidate thrives in autonomous environments and possesses a growth mindset, natural eye for design, and innate ability to solve business goals with features that you conceive, design, and launch with support of development. This is a remote job that reports to Senior Product Management.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Gather and evaluate requirements in collaboration with product management, marketing and engineering teams.
Develop and conceptualize a comprehensive design strategy for the Jobscan brand
Make changes in local dev environment to HTML/CSS to ensure quality design detail and commit changes to git with the help of development.
Design mockups and prototypes to clearly illustrate how websites look and function
Illustrate design ideas using wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps, prototypes, etc.
Design UI elements and tools like menus, tabs, and widgets
Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
Test UI elements such as CTAs, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links for landing pages
Prepare and present designs to internal teams and key stakeholders
Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
Adhere to style standards on typography and graphic design through a Style Guide
Write effective copy

What You’ll Need

5+ years work in similar role for a consumer web product (preferably SaaS)
Proven ability to lead projects from start to finish with minimal supervision
Portfolio of design projects demonstrating natural eye for web and mobile UI/UX
Highly proficient with collaborative design tools, preferably Figma
Proficient translating designs to high-quality frontend views using HTML/CSS
Ability to build and adhere to a Design System and Style Guide
Familiar with web analytics tools, preferably Google Analytics
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

What’d be Cool to Have

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Experience with Storybook
Understanding of SaaS startup metrics
Tech startup experience
