Maverick Drone Systems is currently recruiting for an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Design Engineer job in Savage, Minnesota. The ideal candidate must be capable of conceptually outlining the framework of an aircraft on a clean sheet of paper. You will be responsible for preliminary sizing and configuration of UAVs from the conceptual design stage to the flight testing stage.
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle UAV Design Engineer will also be responsible for:
Design layout design for fuselage, wing, empennage, etc. Selection and integration of propulsion systems Design and configuration of landing gear systems Calculate power characteristics and thrust Determine stability and control performance Preliminary sizing and configuration
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in aircraft design and aerospace engineering Ability to compose conceptual clean-sheet aircraft designs UAV design and flight test experience is highly desired Ability to outline the framework of aircraft Fluent with CATIA V5 CAD system B. S., Aerospace Engineering (preferred) Pilot’s license is a plus
