Legal Removals Policy sits within the Trust & Safety Policy function at Reddit and works on a wide range of content and regulatory issues that help the platform and Reddit communities grow by keeping users safe, defending their rights to free expression and privacy, advocate for meaningful transparency, and handling complex legal requests from around the world.

We’re looking for a seasoned professional with at least 5+ years of Trust & Safety experience, specifically handling legal removal requests from governments, law enforcement, and private parties (e.g. lawyers). As one of the founding members of the Trust & Safety Policy team in Singapore, you will help establish our local presence, work with different teams across the company to tackle complex challenges, and use your drive, experience, and proactive approach to make a big impact on Reddit’s rapidly-growing business. What You’ll Do:

• Expertly handle legal requests from governments, law enforcement, private parties (lawyers/solicitors), and users; be adept at teasing out insights from these interactions, and default to sharing experiences and learnings with other teammates to promote group learning

• Proactively take ownership of and effectively communicate about all work/projects from conception to completion

• Handle internal escalations and help educate other teams on our policies and procedures

• Actively strategize about and anticipate how we can effectively tackle complex challenges including regulatory compliance and country-specific nuances

• Use excellent judgment to determine business needs and make recommendations for impactful and right-sized solutions

• Anticipate user needs, lead analysis and present solutions. Effectively convey and execute ideas that are innovative and fresh.

• Work with the Legal and Public Policy teams, and cross-functionally with Safety Operations, Community, and Engineering to efficiently carry out your responsibilities

• You will also be part of our global Emergency Disclosure Requests (EDRs) and Emergency Removal Requests (ERRs) rotation that may require on-call work from time to time.

• 5+ years directly relevant work experience, specifically handling international legal content removal requests

• Proficiency in the Hindi language

• Subject matter experience handling a range of harmful or potentially illegal content, including defamation, violent extremism, and graphic/obscene content

• Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and a sense of humor

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Advanced project management skills

• Motivated self-starter who thrives in unstructured environments; able to work and make informed decisions independently

• You love Reddit as a platform

• Ready to work across time zones and be flexible on working hours.

• Experience processing legal requests for account information and additional language expertise (e.g. Arabic, Japanese, etc) is a plus
