We are seeking an exceptional Tech Ops Lead. This role reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer of TrackAbout.

This job is intended to be staffed in our Pittsburgh-area office, but we will consider a remote worker for the right individual.

You will be responsible for:

• Managing the infrastructure on which TrackAbout runs its services and its business, hosted and on-premise. This includes network, server and OS, but also third-party SaaS and self-hosted applications and platforms upon which we depend.

• Monitoring, alerting.

• Patching and updating.

• Setting and implementing security policies.

• Automation via Chef (Ruby) and PowerShell, primarily.

• Managing key vendor relationships, including that of our hosting provider. You will also manage the relationship with our Pittsburgh managed service provider (MSP) who provides primary help desk services in our office. Our MSP deals with most office technology issues, but you may be called upon to help out here.

• Troubleshooting of all types.

• Collaborating closely with our developers to make everything awesome.

This is an ‘on call’ position, meaning you could be alerted by our monitoring systems and get involved in a firefighting situation in the wee hours. However, know that at TrackAbout, these incidents have been few and far between. This is a testament to the talent and dedication our entire team brings to making sure things run smoothly.
