As our technical co-founder, you would be in charge of establishing the architecture and strategy for all technical aspects of Camp Native. Other core responsibilities include hiring, leading and establishing the culture of the engineering team. In effect, we are looking for a highly efficient coder, creative thinker, leader, and a partner.
As a partner you would have equity, and competitive compensation upon closing our funding round spring 2015.
Camp Native Product
Camp Native is hotels.com/airbnb for camping. We have assembled the largest database of campgrounds in the United States. Each one of the campgrounds has a profile page where they can better illustrate their campground through photos and providing information about activities and amenities while providing campers a simple way to reserve a campsite online. We are developing a user passport that will allow campers to track their camping experiences as well as plan future camping trips.
3+ years of full-stack software development experience. Strong communication and leadership skills. Startup experience is a plus. Agile software development and lean startup methodologies. Thorough working knowledge of how to grow and scale large-scale applications as part of a team. Hands on experience coding products or services. Back-End – high scalability and optimization, requiring tying in big data analysis with transactions. Familiarity with payments/transaction platforms – information security and compliance requirements (e.g. PCI compliance) and specifically reservation systems.
Passion for the outdoors and building products that could encourage more people to get outdoors. A learner who wants to surround themselves with a team that is greater than the sum of its parts.
