What will I do?

A technical business analyst is a member of a product development team and is responsible for documenting technical software requirements, its processes and systems, and matches a software business model with the software being built. The Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for owning the overall design of assigned technical projects as well as recommending best practices for solutions based on client business needs. This role as a Technical Business Analyst will require strategic design and mapping of business requirements to system/technical requirements.

The Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for writing technical specifications for custom development, system integrations based on interactions directly with the development team and clients. Ideally the Technical Business Analyst is engaged in best practice development initiatives, provides thoughtful leadership, and familiarity with proven cloud solutions that support company roadmap and objectives. It is also expected that they will regularly evaluate the application/system and produce recommended improvements and optimizations.

Essential Functions

  • Translate business requirements into technical artifacts such as business requirements document, functional requirements, functional and technical interface design, use cases, report mockups, dashboards, process workflow designs, data mapping, and flowcharts.
  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to product team
  • Updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures.
  • Define reporting and alerting requirements
  • Help design, document and maintain system processes
  • Own and develop relationship with partners, working with them to optimize and enhance our integrations
  • Constantly improve monitoring, discover issues and delivering better value to the customer
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure

When will I work?

This is a full-time remote position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology, preferred
  • 3+ years related work experience in technical business analysis
  • Experience with Agile Development methodology and familiar with Sprint and/or Scrum
  • Experience creating user stories and technical requirements
  • Experience working with SaaS solutions and enterprise systems such as a CRM or ERP
    • Knowledge of APIs (REST), JSON, XML, SQL and system integration tools
    • Experience in Azure DevOps a plus
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
    • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to take a leadership role when necessary
    • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly assimilate and apply new concepts, business models and technologies.
    • Software development experience a plus
