Based in Manchester, UK, @Perfocal (https://www.perfocal.com) is a p2p platform that helps people find quality, available and affordable photography service quickly. It also provides photographers (specially quality amateurs/part-times) a “one-stop-shop” to manage their works and get paid jobs.

Photography service market is niche, traditional but absolutely not small: in 2013 the industry revenue just in the UK was over £1bn. The idea of Perfocal has been validated with hundreds of potential customers (both clients and photographers) and received exciting feedback. The business model of Perfocal has been well shaped and we have identified multiple potential revenue streams.

We’re currently developing our first MVP and hope to test it within 4-6 weeks.

Even though the platform is not launched yet, Perfocal has obtained over 400 pre-registrations. We’ve also received positive feedbacks from many startup insiders including several investors.

Perfocal now needs a full time technical lead as becoming a co-founder. The candidate should:

• Have strong expertise in web development and technical architecture design (preferably RoR developers with good experience in both front and back end development).

• Excited about building and leading a technology team, as well as making related decisions.

• Certain knowledge about business/startups

• Passion and ambitious! (very important)

• It would be a good bonus if you know/love photography too.
