In this remote role, you will work closely with the assistant tax manager and tax manager to help build a scalable tax function, with opportunities for professional development, collaboration, and innovation.

The Tax Accountant will help prepare income tax provisions, income tax returns, various filings, tax account reconciliations, journal entries, and assist with special projects. In this role, you will be instrumental in using advanced tax technology and automation tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and innovation in our tax processes.

Responsibilities:
• Assist with preparing quarterly and annual income tax provisions under ASC 740
• Prepare, file, and process payments for income tax filings on time
• Support the annual calculation and preparation of federal and state extensions using the OneSource Allocation and Apportionment platform
• Assist in preparing federal and state corporate income tax returns using the OneSource Income Tax platform
• Help gather and maintain data for apportionment and annual tax returns, including uploads and book‑to‑tax adjustments
• Support the calculation and distribution of quarterly intercompany cash taxes to subsidiaries
• Maintain the company’s tax filing calendar
• Handle tax authority correspondence and respond promptly
• Research and stay informed on changes in tax laws and compliance requirements
• Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives
• Prepare 1099 forms for distribution
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline tax workflows
• Use data analytics tools to support tax planning and compliance
• Work with IT and finance teams to integrate new tax software solutions

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 1–2 years of accounting experience preferred, but applicants with strong foundational knowledge and willingness to learn are welcome
• Experience with tax reporting software preferred
• General ledger accounting experience preferred
• CPA or CPA candidate is a plus
• Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint (or Google equivalents), and Excel
• Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced environment with multiple deadlines
• Ability to learn new software quickly
• Strong communication skills and ability to educate colleagues across departments
• Occasional travel required, about 1–2 times per year
