Help improve speech technology by recording short, scripted commands in your native language using your smartphone. This is a simple remote task that takes about 1 to 2 hours to complete, including time to review the instructions provided.

– Record short, scripted commands in your native language

– Complete one full recording session of 500 prompts using the Appen Mobile app

– Follow the given instructions carefully to meet quality standards

The task can be completed in approximately 1 to 2 hours, including reviewing the guidelines.

To apply, you must:

– Be a native Tamil speaker living in India

– Be at least 18 years old

– Have a smartphone compatible with the Appen Mobile app

– You will be paid for completing one recording session (500 prompts) with at least 90% prompt quality accepted.

– Incomplete sessions will not be paid.

– Sessions with a QA score under 90% will be rejected and will not be paid.

This project uses a first-come, first-served process and operates with demographic quotas to ensure fair representation across participant groups.

As a result, some applicants may not receive a task if their demographic group has already reached its quota. This approach helps maintain diversity and prevent over-representation.
