Skydance is seeking a critical-thinking, adaptable professional to join its IT Department in a help desk role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively support users at all levels of the organization – including executives, artists, and administrative staff. This role requires the flexibility to respond to a wide range of help desk requests, as well as a proactive, self-motivated approach to maintaining and supporting the overall health of the company’s digital infrastructure.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

    • Provide troubleshooting support for macOS and Windows workstations within a mixed-network environment, with a demonstrated eagerness to learn and support more advanced systems across the organization
    • Perform setup and installation of computers, data migrations, IP phones, select mass storage solutions, and triage a variety of hardware and software issues within a creative media and entertainment office environment
    • Receive mentoring and professional development from experienced IT leadership; however, candidates should possess foundational skills appropriate for front-line technical support
    • Prior experience in an enterprise or university help desk environment is preferred
Requirements

    • Demonstrated proficiency with macOS, Windows, Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, and related productivity tools
    • Industry-specific certifications is a plus
    • Experience with systems administration and Active Directory is a plus
    • Familiarity with AV conference room technologies, including Zoom Rooms and Crestron systems, is a plus
    • Solid understanding of core networking concepts and protocols, including VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
    • Prior help desk experience, with demonstrated ability to use ticketing systems, prioritize support requests, and document issue resolution effectively
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong customer-service orientation
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
    • Ability to lift up to approximately 40 pounds and safely use computer and network repair tools, including rack-mounted equipment
    • Proven ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment
    • Availability for minimal after-hours and weekend work, with flexibility to participate in on-call emergency support as needed
The range for this non-exempt position in Los Angeles, CA is $ 31.25 – $40.86 /hour. The rate offered may vary based on the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience and relevant expertise, among other factors. The range indicated is for base salary only and does not reflect the total compensation package, including bonus, benefits, etc.
