The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for balancing customer demand, production planning, and
material supply to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. This role coordinates across demand
planning, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics to maintain optimal inventory levels and service
performance.
● Analyze demand forecasts and historical trends
● Collaborate with sales and demand planning to validate forecasts
● Identify risks (shortages, excess inventory, seasonality)
● Develop and maintain production schedules
● Align manufacturing capacity with demand requirements
● Coordinate with operations on constraints and priorities
● Plan and release purchase orders for raw materials/components
● Manage supplier schedules and lead times
● Monitor inventory levels and adjust safety stock as needed
● Partner with manufacturing, logistics, and finance
● Support S&OP / SIOP processes
● Communicate supply risks and mitigation plans
● Track KPIs (service level, inventory turns, forecast accuracy)
● Identify opportunities to reduce cost and improve efficiency
● Assist department with tasks as needed
● Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related)
● 2–5+ years of supply chain, planning, or manufacturing experience
● Strong Excel, Google Docs, and data analysis skills
● Netsuite experience
● APICS/ASCM certification (CSCP, CPIM)
● Experience in manufacturing environment
● Analytical thinking
● Proactive ability to evaluate and apply AI solutions to improve work processes
● Problem-solving under constraints
● Communication across teams
● Attention to detail
● Ability to manage multiple priorities
