Job Duties:
Cash Application Specialist
Is responsible for a business’s accounts receivable processes, including applying payments to customer accounts and reconciling cash receipts.
•Organized sorting of daily bank remittances and making sure no remittance email goes unnoticed.
•Prepare all remittance upload files and ensure all invoices are marked for settlement and any issues and variances are logged and reported.
•Check remittance emails, reach out for variance inquiries and keep log of outstanding issues and resolutions.
•All unapplied receipts must be researched and settled.
•Maintain relevant financial trackers on daily basis for weekly and monthly reconciliation and reporting.
•Analyze payment history of clients and make frequent follow ups with slow paying customers.
•Research any receipts which are from unidentified sources or for which remittance information is not available to identify invoices being paid.
•Respond to internal inquiries from other departments.
•Assist in month end closing activities relating to bank reconciliations.
•Complete weekly aging report and make sure past due invoices are followed up properly for all clients.
