This is a fully remote role and requires eligibility for up to 25% travel between the US and Canada.

Position Summary:

Do you enjoy teaching and supporting others? Can you explain new technology in a way that feels simple and engaging for users with varying technical experience? If so, we’re seeking someone who loves working with customers and is passionate about helping them learn software tools that improve their daily workflows.

As part of the Professional Services Practice Delivery Team, the Software Training Specialist is responsible for training both new and existing customers to help drive adoption of PointClickCare solutions. You will work with a variety of clients—ranging from small organizations to large enterprises—each with different levels of technical proficiency. Through a combination of virtual and occasional in‑person sessions, you’ll guide participants on how to effectively incorporate our solutions into their everyday operations. You’ll also collaborate closely with the Implementation Team to plan, coordinate, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

The Software Training Specialist reports to the Practice Manager or Senior Practice Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver high‑quality training based on adult learning principles and best practices
• Develop individualized and group training plans tailored to specific business needs
• Assess learner abilities and adjust training methods to ensure successful outcomes
• Deliver train‑the‑trainer programs, including coaching and shadowing support
• Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling and resource planning
• Lead online or onsite sessions using tools like Zoom, WebEx, and Microsoft Teams
• Conduct classroom training at company events, industry conferences, or customer locations
• Promote the use of online training courses to support ongoing learning
• Use engaging training techniques and assess training effectiveness
• Provide feedback and recommendations to enhance training processes and curriculum
• Build strong customer relationships through excellent communication and collaboration
• Work with the project team to proactively identify and communicate risks, issues, timelines, and delays
• Test, pilot, and document new professional services offerings
• Maintain expertise across multiple product areas, including full solution knowledge and value outcomes

Your Key Strengths:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software, Healthcare, IT, or Business Administration (preferred, not required)
• Previous client‑facing training experience, ideally in software
• Self‑driven, enthusiastic, and strong interpersonal skills
• Solid understanding of adult learning principles and training methodologies
• Strong technical aptitude
• Excellent presentation skills
• Experience working on multi‑resource project teams and meeting deadlines
• Experience delivering both in‑person and remote training
• Previous EHR software experience is an asset
• Ability to excel in a fast‑paced, complex team setting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting tools such as Zoom and WebEx
• Ability to travel up to 25% (passport required)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially when explaining technical concepts to non‑technical users

About the Role:

The financial software-focused position is primarily customer‑facing. Specialists spend most of their time in sessions with clients and collaborating with the project team to ensure successful implementations. The role also includes internal meetings, maintaining certifications, upskilling, participating in special projects, supporting go‑to‑market initiatives, and attending customer onsite visits.

$80,000 – $85,000 per year

US: Base salary is one part of our total rewards package. The salary range for this role is $80,000 – $85,000 plus a 10% performance‑based bonus and benefits. Salary is determined by skills, experience (including lived experience), and location. Recruiters will provide more details during the hiring process.
