TekTalent are expanding the activities of a dedicated application design and support team that will work together on a number of large scale software development and support projects. This work is for a number of dedicated clients and different large scale business applications throughout Ireland. As part of this remote team we are looking to hire a Test Engineer, who will work with the rest of the team. As a Test Engineer in the application design & support team you will have a key role in TekTalent’s projects and visibility to end-to-end business endeavor and outcome of overall work.
Working for large software development projects you will handle planning and design testing activities, in collaboration with our Test Manager, like Test Strategies, Test Plans and Test Cases composition and preparation. The use of Best Practices and Industry standards along with an innovative approach during test execution, which will be the main activity, is expected so as to assure quality in critical business systems in a productive and effective way.
This work can be done remotely. This position is for a 6-12 months contract, aiming to be renewable thereafter. Contractors will issue invoices monthly for the duration of the contract and pay their social insurance and taxes locally. (No VAT is applicable and no taxes are deducted at source)
Working hours are flexible taking advantage of the fact that the position is remote, considering always that this is a full time job (40 hours per week). Responsibilities:
Prepare Software Test Plans in accordance to new/ update requirements.
Review/ update of existing Test documentation.
Analyze requirements during the requirements analysis phase of projects. Provide review comments from a tester’s perspective. Apply static testing techniques.
Responsible for creating domain specific regression tests, preparing and validating release packets, debugging test failures, and interacting closely with developers to help create, maintain, and enhance our test infrastructure for multiple projects.
Creating and maintaining automated regression test suites.
Creating and maintaining manual test cases.
Running automated and manual test scripts.
Ensuring test environments are available and maintained for all applications.
Actively improving the automation skills of the QA and software engineers.
