WHAT YOU’LL DO
Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications for commercial sale or for large-scale proprietary internal use.
Collaborate with Product Managers to define features for product roadmaps.
Work with multiple teams and products to understand requirements and design solutions.
Identify and assess new technologies for potential implementation.
Consult with end users to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet their needs.
Within R&D, improve processes and establish best practices.
Develop and implement process solutions.
Create or align best practices.
Monitor compliance with standards and, when necessary, enforce them.
Serve as a technical expert on development projects.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis and design.
Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and defined business requirements.
Review code to diagnose errors and update programs as needed.
Independently handle highly complex projects with minimal supervision.
Exercise significant independent judgment.
Assist and mentor less experienced team members.
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, and occasionally lead them.
Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Typically requires 10 or more years of experience.
Proven prior experience in a Software Engineer III role.
In-depth knowledge of the field.
Strong working knowledge of Agile project development methodologies, with the ability to apply them on active projects.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the programming language requirements relevant to this role, with the ability to share that knowledge with the team.
Assist as a project lead or as a subject matter expert.
Help coordinate project activities across both on-site and remote team members.
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong presentation and mentoring skills.
