As a well rounded software engineer, you should definitely be the type that appreciates diversity in your day, and challenges outside of your comfort level! A typical day in the life of a PacketFabric software engineer might include these types of activities:

• Working closely with the network engineering team to implement rapid fault detection and failover handling systems.
• Creating automation to handle changes across thousands of network devices, taking into account offline equipment, many failure scenarios, rollbacks, and other edge cases.
• Working with the UI/UX lead to add some intuitive and well thought out features to our customer portal to enable users to make rapid and fault tolerant network changes.
• Creating and optimizing queries for dealing with extremely large data sets.
• Designing and implementing a brand new API framework for a brand new service.
• Interacting with customers and/or sales on a bug in the software, quickly resolving it, and coordinating across the team to push a fix.
• Researching additional ideas you may have to improve the product/platform overall and sharing with the team.
