As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be a technical leader on the team — owning the design and delivery of complex, high-scale backend services and integrations that power multi-channel ecommerce. You’ll set architectural direction, take on our hardest problems, and mentor other engineers, all while staying hands-on in the code. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role for someone who leads through technical excellence.
How you will achieve success:
- Lead the design and architecture of complex, high-scale services and integrations, from concept to production.
- Drive technical direction and make the key architectural decisions that shape the team’s roadmap.
- Mentor and guide engineers, and raise the bar through thoughtful design and code reviews.
- Own ambiguous, high-impact problems end-to-end — breaking them down and driving them to delivery.
- Champion reliability, observability, automation, and operational excellence.
- Partner closely with Product, Data, Infrastructure, and other engineering teams.
- Stay hands-on: write high-quality, maintainable, well-tested code.
What experiences will help you in this role:
- 7+ years of backend software engineering experience.
- Deep system design and distributed systems expertise — you’ve designed and owned systems at scale.
- A track record of technical leadership: mentoring engineers, influencing architecture, and setting engineering standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, a strong sense of ownership, and comfort with ambiguity.
- Proficiency in at least one of Java, C#, or Python (must have).
- Working knowledge of . NET.
- Strong with cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure), microservices, and event-driven architecture.
- Strong debugging, testing, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration.
- Nice-to-have: experience with high-throughput or marketplace/ecommerce systems.
