Software Engineer (Senior or Junior)

TNC Hong Kong is hiring a (Senior) Software Engineerto join our growing team of 15. A fresh graduate may also be considered.

You may be remote but must be within 2+- time zone within Hong Kong (e.g. Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Philippines, etc.). You must be fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese are a plus.

Requirements

• Strong MVP and startup mindset.
• Clean codes easy to read, test, and maintain
• Strong knowledge inNodejs and/or JavaScript frameworks (Koa, Express, React, Vue.js etc) – You don’t need to know all of these, as long as you are eager and able to learn.
• Eager to quickly pick up new technologies such as TypeScript and ReactNative
• Understanding of Linux and/or AWS environment
• Understanding of micro-services architecture
• Ship high-quality solutions guarded by automated test cases, with a sense of urgency and speed
• Work closely with PMs, Designers, internal and external stakeholders
• A blend of engineering, product, UI/UX, and people knowing that lets you jump into a fast-paced environment and contribute from day one.
• Owning a large part of the process from problem understanding to shipping the solution
• Drive product initiatives
• Motivation and enjoyment for a startup environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Fresh Graduates will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a strong team of 15+ engineers, with a large amount of ownership and responsibility for managing things directly
• Ship high-quality solutions guarded by automated test cases, with a sense of urgency and speed
• Code reviews. We invest in spreading knowledge around the team, and keeping our code easy to read, test, and maintain
• Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, other teams, and both internal and external stakeholders, owning a large part of the process from problem understanding to shipping the solution
• Have the freedom to suggest and drive product initiatives
