Senior Software Engineer – Full Stack

Young, hungry, and dynamic midwest startup seeks like-minded developers to help us revolutionize an industry.

We have identified an extraordinary opportunity in an industry that sorely needs it; helping medical device companies navigate the complex and perilous waters of regulatory compliance. The result is safer, better med devices delivered to the market much more quickly, and the world ends up a better place as a result. Who knew compliance could be so sexy?

All that’s left now it to deliver. We are looking to add key members to our development team, to help us grow into our astonishing potential. Smart and talented are a given; here are some of the other key traits and skills that we are looking for:

  • We’d really like to hear from programmers, not middleware jockeys or framework evangelists. We’re doing some pretty cool stuff with both client- and server-side JavaScript (ember.js and nodejs, primarily), talking to Java via a REST API on the back end. It’s OK if the bulk of your talent and experience has been focused primarily on one side or the other, but you should at least be open to learning, understanding, and helping out in all areas of the application as needed. A deep understanding of both the principles of programming and the art of software development are far more important to us than demonstration of superficial experience with a given language and platform.

  • A Pro mindset is an absolute dead solid requirement. You must be willing to both be held accountable and to hold others equally accountable. You should be able to flourish under pressure from time to time, and also be motivated to keep pushing when things are calm. You’ll need to be able to co-exist comfortably with some degree of uncertainty and chaos.

  • Our environment is very close and extremely collaborative, so you need to be able to communicate well and play nicely with others. Your tools for conflict resolution must not be restricted to ‘take my ball and go home’ or ‘burn it all to the ground’.
