Meridian Business Centers operates fifteen business centers in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and Houston that provide all-inclusive office suites, meeting rooms, and virtual offices. We’re looking for a full stack engineer tojoin our Technology Team to develop new web apps and support/improve upon existing solutions.

Skills & Requirements

Your Skills and Expertise:

• Solid software development and front-end design experience. We want our apps to work well and look good!
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience using Nodejs, HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, Git, REST, JSON, web sockets, andPostgreSQL.
• Experience with MVC architectures.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Vue.js or AngularJS.
• Strong written/verbal communication and time management skills. You’ll be working remotely so keeping yourself motivated and staying in touch will be key to your success.
• Strong ability to work individually or with a small team.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a self starter.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Getting a lot of experience solving real world problems.
• You’ll be a key player in designing and coding new and existing web-based software applications used internally by our employees, and externally by our clients.
• Helping generate ideas on how to improve our client’s experience and execute on them.
• Working with other members on our Technology Team to integrate several systems and services, such as providing end-user control to our voice platform and integrating SIP functionality into a web application.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience with Laravel, Vue.js, and AngularJS
• Experience with AWS, DigitalOcean, and Heroku.
• Experience using Bootstrap, LESS and/or Sass
• Have a passion for what you do, and spend time learning not because you have to, but because you want to.
• Have some working knowledge of Linux and databases. We’ll leverage Heroku a lot, but some things will need to run locally.

The Application Process We want to test your mettle.So – we ask that you submit a pull request to our GitHub project of a small sample app that does the following:

• Uses Bootstrap with either AngularJS or Vue.js
• Create a single page web app that pulls information from a REST API and displays it to the user. There should be at least 2 routes: 1 that provides an item list for the user to select, the other should provide details about that item.

Here’s an example:

A weather app that shows the Dallas zip codes, and provides detailed current weather info if you click on a zip code.

Salary $70k – $80k depending on experience.

Where You’ll be Working At home! This will be a remote work position, but if you’re in the Dallas, Austin, or Houston areas we’ll occassionally ask you to attend a meeting.
