The Role Pulselocker is looking for qualified software engineers to contribute in developing features across multiple subsystems, programming, and unit testing of software applications using agile development methods for a music content ingestion and catalog publishing system. Additionally, you will provide engineering support to the infrastructure operations team for building, deploying, configuring and operating Pulselocker services. You will report to the Lead Software Engineer. We are looking for people who love music, technology, and have a passion for creativity.
In this role, you will
• Develop moderately complex software following established standards and best practices in accordance with applicable software development methodology and release processes • Utilize software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers in the software development process • Collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions • Work collaboratively and professionally with other Pulselocker engineers in cross functional teams to achieve goals • Apply a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities in developing solutions in a timely fashion • Participate in product and/or application definition activities including feature analysis and system tradeoffs • Provide 2nd tier technical application support to other teams and integration partners
Experience • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent • Minimum 2 years experience developing web-based software systems • Experience working on content delivery systems a big plus (see Skills Required) Personality • Excellent written and verbal communication, organized thought processes • Polite and respectful of others • Thoroughly thinks out and evaluates alternatives, pro-active approach, takes initiative
