We’re looking for a talented software engineer to join us in developing our personal finance app – MoneyHub. We help users plan and manage their finances with spending analysis, budgeting, investment tracking and “what if” scenarios.
Your work on this tool will directly help thousands (perhaps millions) of consumers get on top of their finances and make better informed financial decisions.
We are a full stack JS environment – you will be working with Node. JS and React. We’re transitioning to a pragmatic micro-services based architecture and have an excellent CI system using tools such as Bamboo and Docker. We have solid test coverage across all of our modules – including a reliable BDD UI test suite. Experience with Node. JS is a plus, but not a requirement. We’re rather looking for software engineers who are passionate about building secure and reliable services through cleanly architected and well tested code.
This is a great opportunity to grow your skillset using the latest technologies. We use JavaScript throughout our stack: Node. JS & MongoDB on the server communicating via JSON with our Flux-React based client-side apps. We use Apache Cordova to distribute our app on iOS devices.
We’re a 50 person start-up who are now part of a large Insurance firm. We operate as our own business unit however – so we have the best of both worlds: start-up culture with enterprise backing. We invest in our team, with a generous training allowance and company pension plan and pride ourselves in creating an environment focussed on innovation, collaboration and openness.
Role: Software Engineer
Culture: We’re a young start-up with big ambitions. We’re about collaboration and openness not command-and-control. We’re fast moving and aim to iterate and ship fast.
Open Source: Our whole stack is based on open source software. We’ve contributed to open source frameworks and plan to to open source the reusable components from our application.
Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Centre of Bristol
Salary: Excellent – dependent on experience
