RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and manage the technical backbone of our application
• Build and maintain a database structure which can hold a huge amount of data
• Build and maintain harvesters to harvest data from APIs, and crunchers to translate this data to usable metrics
• Tasks in the data science field like mapping multiple types of information into primitive metrics
• Be an opinionated voice in our development process: help define our upcoming features

BASICS

• You are interested in health and fitness applications and technology
• A good understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Skeptical and somewhat obsessive care about the quality of your code
• Desire and ability to share ideas, solid verbal and written communication skills
• Extensive experience solving analytical problems using statistical/quantitative approaches
• Strive for a deep understanding on technologies like distributed computing, multi-threaded programming
• Always research, discover and discuss the new technologies to improve software quality
• Interest in data mining, machine learning and/or artificial intelligence
