The ideal candidate for this test engineering role will have experience working on mobile applications through their full lifecycle, from concept through shipping to maintenance. You will work on a privacy-first digital identity wallet, controlled by the end user. We use a combination of core identity libraries, cutting-edge cryptography, and new interoperable identity standards.
Responsibilities
- Implement automated testing infrastructure in Rust and relevant cloud automation technologies such as Terraform, including test harnesses, mock APIs, and environments.
- Write end-to-end tests that cover testing of libraries, applications and communications between devices and servers.
- Work closely with the development team to help with good practices, and with the product team to assess the quality of critical components.
- Help with debugging production issues.
Qualifications
- Experience with automated testing in two or more of the following: backend systems, web applications, and mobile applications.
- Proficiency with CI/CD platforms (e.g. GitHub Actions).
- 4+ years of experience with automated testing.
- Experience collaborating with geographically and culturally diverse engineering scrum teams.
Bonus
- Professional software development experience in a modern backend programming language.
- Experience with Rust.
- Experience with digital identity standards (e.g. OAuth2.0, JOSE, X.509).
- Experience with cryptographic primitives (e.g. secure enclaves, hardware-based cryptography).
- Experience with cloud environments and technologies (e.g. AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes). Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field.
