Microsoft Services’ Modern Apps Solutions Centers (MASC) develop mission-critical solutions for enterprise customers. Operating from purpose-built studios located at Microsoft Offices, the MASC’s app dev wizards work hand-in-hand with customers to deliver solutions that delight users.
The MASC Project Manager will be responsible for successful execution on one or more projects at a time, providing guidance, coaching, and project leadership. By mentoring and influencing, the Project Manager will drive the highest quality and the strongest sense of customer focus on each project. The Project Manager is responsible for keeping the development team working on the highest priority tasks each sprint, removing risks and impediments, and leading the communication with the end customer.Part Scrum master, part mentor, and part consultant, the Project Manager role requires an unusual mix of project management and consulting skills, along with a passion for technology. The MASC Project Manager’s primary responsibilities include:
Leading one or more dev teams at a time to successfully deliver on customer projects
Ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, and scope constraints by tracking consumption and forecasts
Advocating for Agile development processes, which can require translating Agile outputs into traditional PMI-style artifacts
Leading envisioning workshops to translate a customer vision into a product backlog
Providing actionable coaching feedback to team members to foster continuous improvement in the spirit of a growth mindset
Up to 50% travel to customer sites may be required
