Summary/Objective :
The Joint is seeking a Sr. Software engineer who understands cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will help us in migrating our environment to the cloud, work with vendors and business partners in analyzing and migration. The focus of the role is to architect solutions and help cloud integration using Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies.
Skills Required:
10+ years professional software development
6+ years’ experience C#/. NET development with a focus on web development in ASP. NET using MVC and WebApi
4+ years’ experience in SQL Server database development, query tuning, and maintenance.
3+ years’ experience using Entity Framework, javascript, jQuery, and HTML5,
Experience with at least one web framework such as angularjs, react, aurelia etc.
Advanced understanding of HTML/CSS and cross browser compliant websites. Experience with a responsive UI framework such as Bootstrap.
Familiarity with a css pre-processor such as Sass or Less.
Experience with source control using Git and Tfs.
3+ years of experience in designing, developing and migrating large number of Azure cloud based applications (using IaaS & PaaS services)
2+ years of strong Development experience on multi-user Azure based applications. Experience in developing in Agile environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Thorough understanding of Azure cloud service offering (covering Azure Compute, Storage and Network and PaaS services including App Services, Web Role/Worker Role, SQL Aure Database among others).
Strong knowledge of Cloud security standards and principles including Identity and Access management in Azure.
Ability to analyze applications for Azure suitability and propose right target state on Azure considering cost, performance, and security
Strong knowledge of Enterprise Architecture, Azure cloud reference architecture and associated design patterns.
Experience in designing and architecting applications using latest as well as legacy Microsoft technology stack including ASP. NET, ASP. NET Web API, Classic ASP, VB6, Microsoft SQL Server
Strong communication skills in a professional setting; ability to discuss requirements with a variety of stakeholders.
Ability to work under deadline pressure, cope well with changing priorities and effectively manage multiple projects.
Very well organized, high attention to detail, logical problem solving skill and must be able to maintain confidentiality
Education/Experience/Background:
B. S. in Computer Science or related field
Microsoft Azure cloud and Microsoft stack and cloud migration experience.
Typescript and ES2015
Experience using a NoSql/document data store including Redis
Familiarity with Elastic search and ELK (Elastic search/Logstash and Kibana)
Web performance optimization and developing scalable applications
Designing applications using DDD
Experience developing with pub/sub/service-bus architectures
