Tasks and responsibility:

• Manage the technical side of outsourcing activities,
• Define specific, measurable, achievable and testable technical requirements
• Architecture definition – introduce structure, guidelines, principles and leadership to the technical aspects of a software project
• Technology selection – find the best fit for the defined architecture and requirements
• Architecture evaluation – ensure that the architecture meets the functional and the non-functional requirements before it is developed
• Architecture collaboration – collaborate with other architects to ensure the architecture will successfully integrate with its environment
• Perceptive, aware of the bigger picture – evolving and ensuring the architecture is delivered as planned
• Technical leadership – providing technical guidance and making technical decisions
• Coaching and mentoring – helping developers in understanding the architecture and solving coding problems
• Quality assurance – defining techniques and enforcing their use
