About Centralway

Centralway’s focus is on developing products to manage banking transactions and assets. The platform provides banking services for the consumer, as well as the development and implementation of banking software towards financial institutions. We are currently looking for a Senior Web Engineer, at the earliest possible start date, to strengthen our position in the industry.

This role is based at Centralway Headquarters, Zürich.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Web Engineer, you will be responsible for creating scalable front-end applications for Centralway. You will translate concepts, designs, wireframes, mockups and experiences into high quality web applications, into graphical interfaces through HTML5, CSS and Javascript code.

Serving as a JavaScript Engineer, you will carry out a variety of duties such as planning and developing new projects from the ground up. You will build, design and maintain high performance, reusable and reliable code. The web technologies you implement will need to be transferable into consumable consumable platforms, device independent web products, and robust user friendly applications. You will take responsibility for the ongoing development for parts of the central core framework as well as for the fast development of prototypes for new features.

Through conducting regular code and peer reviews, you will ensure that all quality requirements are met. You will perform proactive troubleshooting and analysis of web architecture, leading to consistent, reliable and scalable systems, identifying bottlenecks during bug fixing efforts.

You will become an integral link between product, engineering, marketing and design teams to aid in the development of a product or concept. You will be part of the development process, providing positive and helpful reviews, maintaining good code quality, organisation and automatisation.

You should be keen to remain up-to-date with latest technology, understanding the benefits and limitations that it provides your team with when furthering the development of your product. Additionally, you will be required to participate in workflow tracking (JIRA) and documentation (CONFLUENCE), in order to ensure scalable, industrialised processes that facilitate business growth.
