TenCate is one of the leading manufacturers of geosynthetics (textiles utilized for civil construction applications). With operations in the U.S. , Europe, and Asia, TenCate maintains a global presence. We have a custom web application, MiraSpec, that our customers use to analyze the impacts and benefits of our higher end products. Customers open our web application, input roadway and soils information, and the result is a custom design utilizing TenCate’s products, providing cost savings or an extended design life for the project. Our products help create stronger and longer lasting roadways. At present, we have nearly 1,500 users of the application.

MiraSpec brings great value to our customers in terms of providing a useful design tool that is easy to access online, drives our sales, and shows our dedication to making our customers’ job easier. Your work will have a very tangible, positive effect on the company as a whole.

We are looking to incorporate many improvements into MiraSpec, including optimized performance and a more intuitive user experience. Other responsibilities will include writing clear requirements and architecture documentation, managing deployments, and bug tracking / fixing. As a development team of 1, you will have full technical oversight of the project and the freedom to choose the overall design direction. Maintainability, performance, and user experience are of the highest importance. You will be working with a small, mostly remote (and fun!) team, so clear communication and operating in a team environment is absolutely required. It is anticipated that this will be a 3 month contract, with the possibility of extending.
