We are currently seeking a talented UI/UX developer to join our team of 20+ developers assigned to work on various project teams at NBCUniversal. This role will be responsible for contributing to the design, development, and implementation of front-end solutions for NBCUniversal’s enterprise sales and analytic applications. In addition to contributing code and tangible deliverables the role is expected to work as an advisor to help identify, educate, and foster best-in-class solutions. The role requires the applicant to create and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and team members. Creating these relationships requires strong communication skills and the ability to travel.
The NBCU Ad Sales Design team strives to implement simple and consumer friendly solutions to existing and new applications that support the internal sales and analytics activities related to digital and linear properties at NBC. We’re a multi-disciplinary team in charge of heading up and maintaining the patterns that support the consistent application of both visual assets and UI interactions. We work closely with both product and engineering teams to build applications that will help our customers succeed. Expect to make informed decisions on visual style and user experience as well as rapidly create working prototypes and production quality front-end code using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. As an Informz employee, you will be part of a company that values your work and gives you the tools you need to succeed. Our headquarters is located in Saratoga Springs, New York, but this position is primarily telecommuting. For the most part, this position is remote, however, there is an expectation to travel to the client site in NYC 2-4 times per month (once weekly or bi-weekly). Therefore, for ease and quickness of commute, we would prefer individuals who live in the tri-state area or near our corporate office in the Saratoga/Albany, NY area. Core Responsibilities
Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide expertise as well as customer service to meet a wide variety of requirements
Quickly provide insight and options to UX challenges
Partner with a development team to deliver new advertising sales applications
Focus on maintaining a unified experience across multiple applications
Collaborate with Product Managers and business teams to create consumer-like, elegant, intuitive experience for enterprise users
Contribute both technically and in an advisory role to projects
Develop and manage extensible, stable code bases for a variety of applications
Provide front-end architectural and esthetical thought leadership
Stay current with the fast changing landscape of browser based application development
Evaluate frameworks, technology, platforms and tooling solutions
Support and troubleshoot issues (process & system), identify root cause, and proactively implement sustainable corrective actions
