Job Description: Senior UI/UX Designer
We’re seeking a talented Sr. UI/UX Designer to create amazing user experiences for educational web-based products for mobile, tablet and desktop platforms. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean design, be able to translate high-level requirements into wireframes, prototypes and proper UI/UX documentation, and then transform them into pixel perfect, intuitive, and functional user interface designs.
Skills & Requirements
Designs and documents the interaction of the user experience for web-based interfaces, applying standard user-centered design guidelines and techniques.
Creates design deliverables such as wireframes, page flow diagrams, interactive prototypes, and design mockups and specifications documentation.
Collaborate with product management and developers to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
Recommends improvements and reviews implementation of the design.
Participates in, and conducts user experience research activities such as usability testing, interviews or other research activities, contributing to user experience research findings.
Iterate and improve on designs by incorporating user and product team feedback.
Contributes to interaction design, mobile-first user experience vision and visual design patterns to maintain consistency in interfaces across products.
A basic understanding of usability best practices and principles is required.
5-7 years of UI experience front-end web app UI/UX design.
Outstanding online portfolio of previous UI/UX work.
Experience developing mobile-ready, responsive design HTML5 based mobile/desktop applications.
Highly Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and other visual creation tools.
Experienced with Sketch, Axure and/or other wireframing/prototype tools.
BS/MS in Communication Design, Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related.
Experience working in an Agile development process.
Experience with Educational Technology products a plus.
