We are looking to dramatically increase the scope of our data technology and someone able to review new technologies to solve some unique challenges. You will work with our team to build the infrastructure to put actionable business intelligence into the hands of our partners and clients.

You should have expertise in the design, creation, management, and business use of large datasets. You should have excellent business and communication skills so you can work with business owners to understand data requirements, and to build whatever is necessary to ingest, enhance, and store large data sets. You should be an expert at designing, implementing, and operating stable, scalable, low-cost solutions to flow data from production systems into the Data Warehouse and into end-user facing reporting applications. Above all, you should be passionate about working with data and someone who loves to bring datasets together to answer business questions and drive change.

Engineers are important to us, so we provide the best tools and complete company support to help you craft amazing products. Our group is optimized for engineer happiness and we try to keep the company ‘overhead’ to a minimum at all times.

There is freedom to work wherever, whenever you want, as long as the team’s work gets done. We recognize that our practices can impinge on exactly where and when, and we do have other requirements that limit that privilege, but the freedom is greatly intact. We generally are in the office once a week for planning, and to help keep our sense of ourselves alive, but there’s value when you’re in the City of being in the office more often and we recommend it. You can expect to do some pair programming as well as work independently on various projects. We use late model MacBook Airs or Pros, and when we’re in the office it’s a quiet workplace free of unnecessary distractions. There’s a company-wide expectation of both personal and professional excellence.

Free FreshDirect food, snacks, drinks, etc. delivered to the office weekly: add anything you want to our standing order.
