Bluelight Consulting is looking for a React developer to join its growing team.

As an engineer at Bluelight Consulting, you will support our exceptional clients in one of two ways:
1) Team Augmentation: You will join a client’s existing team and work closely with their engineers every day.
2) Design & Build: You will collaborate with a Bluelight Consulting development team to create and deliver new applications from the ground up.

What We Are Looking For
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience; 5+ years preferred but not required.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional React experience.
• Solid experience working on large, complex systems.
• A four-year college degree.
• A strong sense of ownership over your work and a commitment to meeting expectations, estimates, and established processes.
• The ability to align with client goals and deliver on team commitments.
• Knowledge of best practices and a dedication to following them.
• The ability to tackle new and challenging problems and contribute to libraries as needed.
• Experience creating and maintaining continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• A positive attitude and problem-solving mindset.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• A genuine passion for software development—you enjoy learning, experimenting with new technologies, and staying up to date through reading and exploration.
• The ability to consistently work 40 hours per week.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Collaborating within a small team that includes developers, a project manager, a QA specialist, and a designer.
• Working in two-week sprints and participating in retrospectives and daily standups.
• Helping create project estimates.
• Communicating with clients through Slack, Zoom, and email.
• Tracking your time daily with Toggl.
• Using modern tools such as Jira, Slack, GitHub, and Google Docs.
• Participating in a supportive developer community that shares knowledge and assists each other.
• Following Bluelight’s established development processes.
