In your new role you will:

  • Manage Firmware Projects according to existing processes from requirement definition with internal customers to the design, verification, implementation and maintenance of firmware applications.
  • Be responsible for the planning, target setting, staffing, execution and controlling of smaller international projects (up to 5 project members), while always keeping an eye on performance, quality, costs and risks.
  • Cooperate with other departments to assure proper, in-time, and adequate functionality.
  • Define the rollout strategy for firmware projects.
  • Train and guide your less experienced team members.
  • Align with colleagues in your own department and the Business Lines and act as main contact person for all questions regarding the project.

You are a self-motivated person who strives for performance, quality, cost-efficiency, risk-prevention and continuous improvement. As a role model for open communication and feedback, you know how to successfully align with various people internationally. Your structured working style helps you to follow the department’s big picture and contribute to the projects’ success even in more complex situations.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A university degree in electrical engineering, computer science, informatics or related studies.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in embedded software development ideally in the semiconductor business.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in project management.
  • Technical knowledge in requirements engineering, agile development and firmware verification.
  • A good understanding of firmware development areas (RTOS, Embedded Linux, Boot-ROM).
  • In the best case first insights into Functional Safety (e.g. ISO26262) and Coding Standards.
  • Preferably a Project Management Certification e.g. IPMA or similar.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
  • Excellent English communication skills and at least the willingness to learn German.
