The Senior JavaScript/UI Developer/Programmer’s primary role is to design, implement, and maintain web-based user interfaces and related systems through: • System architecture design and development • Programming, coding and scripting • Testing • Technical documentation • Administration and maintenance

The Senior JavaScript/UI Developer/Programmer will focus on design and development of a cloud-based geographic information system user interface. The user group includes water utilities, state regulators, scientific researchers and other user groups in the water community. The technology stack currently includes HTML5, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, Geoserver, OpenLayers, JQuery Mobile, etc. Desired features include visualizing 100’s of GIS layers, creating and editing GIS and nonspatial data, utilizing Python scripts and other tools to perform geospatial analysis, producing exportable canned and adhoc reports, and user/group security administration for datasets and UI features. We expect the Senior JavaScript/UI Developer/Programmer to support these efforts by creating simple and intuitive, yet powerful, user interfaces for sophisticated workflows. These user interfaces will include or interact with the desired features mentioned. The following links are to short demo videos that overview some of the desired features and use cases.
