‘Sayfe – Secure Private Messenger’ is our chat app on the iOS appstore. We look forward to competing with the likes of Wickr, Threema, Signal, and hopefully Telegram app as well. This position is for someone who can lead and take on the future development of our iOS app; someone with a strong background in iOS and interest in creating beautiful long-lastingcode. Given the app is a messaging app, there is a server tech component as well. We are thus looking for great computer scientists with a broad expertise in object oriented software development, service oriented architecture and APIs, and an advanced expertise in iOS.Responsibilities will include:
Design, Development, and Testing of newer features in the iOS version of the app
Fixing bugs and maintaining code – all the while ensuring we follow industry best-practices and design patterns, and ensure the most efficient use of computing and storage resources
Collaborating with other engineers on the project
Researching, exploring, and executing newer, better approaches to solving our software development and maintenance challenges
Participating in some user testing, as well as receiving feedback on app usability, and improving the app based on such feedback
Interfacing with XMPP server, and possibly coding a bit on the server side as well
Using many modern APIs, SDKs, and tools, and learning new tools as needed
