We are looking for a motivated senior engineer to help us enhance the quality of our product portfolio by leading challenging development projects. Working with primarily Laravel, Typescript and React you will have a genuine opportunity to create innovative tools and set the technological direction of our products, making a noticeable impact on our team and our customers.

Refreshing UIs for our growing housing inspections app

Assisting with automation and infrastructure development across our product set using Docker and Terraform

Building out micro-services architecture and feature development in the latest PHP and Laravel for the rebuild of our noise reporting app

Assisting our data science team with productionising novel machine learning features for our noise assessment and monitoring applications

The work is varied and challenging, and you will be involved in API design, implementing business logic, developing outstanding front-end UIs, and establishing micro-service architecture for our growing portfolio.

Apply for this role if

You know how to architect performant, secure, and maintainable Laravel applications from the ground up using SOLID principles

You have knowledge of Docker, DevOps and CI processes and are used to working with AWS infrastructure

You enjoy working with a mix of expertise; including data scientists, designers, mobile developers and business

You are experienced with modern PHP 8, Laravel, testing, debugging and automation techniques

You are experienced in front-end development and enjoy developing usable, accessible and outstanding user interfaces

You have a wealth of expertise and wish to share your knowledge to help grow our development teams

You have an interest in machine learning and a desire to learn about assisting our Data Scientists with productionising their work

You have experience with Scrum agile development processes

Salary and benefits

Up to £65k depending on experience

Hours of work: 35 hours per week

Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm

Ability to work remotely (UK only) or from our Bristol or Aberystwyth offices. You choose which days you come into the office based on when you need to collaborate more closely with your team.
