Financial Reporting Analysts are frequently expected to recommend actions by combining financial data and emerging trends. They develop tools and systems such as databases and spreadsheets to enhance financial data analysis and reporting, while also finding opportunities to redesign existing reports and processes.

In this role, you will determine the organization’s business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis requirements. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to transform data into essential insights that support sound business decisions. You will ensure data is accurate, consistent, reliable, and easily accessible for users, whether for direct use or integration with other systems.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare P&L reports and assist in reviewing financial results and assembling financial analysis packages.
• Support various reporting and analysis duties and help develop key indicators and ratios to improve financial result evaluations.
• Apply GAAP to produce financial statements, donor reports, income statements, and balance sheets, ensuring accurate reporting for departments and leadership.
• Analyze financial information by gathering data, monitoring trends, and creating financial models to aid decision-making.
• Prepare documentation that reflects the organization’s financial condition.
• Compile data for internal and external distribution, including materials used to build budgets and conduct audits.
• Guide cost analysis by emphasizing policies and procedures, identifying trends and forecasts, and recommending actions.
• Conduct data mining and business intelligence activities.
• Perform other assigned tasks.

Education:
• More than 7 years of advanced financial reporting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; an MBA in Finance is preferred.

Qualifications:
• Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, including experience building models and expertise in data mining.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data query and data management tools such as Access, SQL, and Business Objects is highly beneficial.
• Demonstrated experience with NetSuite and Adaptive Insights or similar planning, budgeting, and forecasting systems.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion, adapt to competing priorities, and provide exceptional customer service.
• Proven ability to meet high performance standards and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of the Super-Circular OMB is preferred.
• Forward-thinking mindset with a proactive approach to challenges and solutions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and excel in a fast-paced setting.
• Consistent history of meeting performance targets.
