Life as a Senior Delivery Lead at CEF:

As a Senior Delivery Lead in Finance IT, you will manage Finance IT projects and oversee the delivery of our Workday implementation. You will work closely with our skilled Finance IT Domain team and other cross‑functional IT groups to deliver high‑value solutions for stakeholders across the business.

You will play a key role in ensuring the correct delivery methodology is consistently applied in partnership with the Global Delivery Practice.

Your main focus will be creating plans for global Workday deliverables and taking ownership of driving the team to meet agreed objectives, using tools such as JIRA.

You will promote continuous improvement, encourage strong engagement between the team and business stakeholders, and help build a shared understanding of progress and challenges.

Your Objectives:
• Create coordinated plans to deliver software solutions with cross‑functional teams of Systems Analysts, Engineers, Architects, and Business Analysts.
• Monitor delivery progress, identify blockers, and manage risks to keep work on track.
• Provide regular status updates in governance forums.
• Foster continuous improvement within Global Delivery teams by encouraging open feedback and building a culture of learning.
• Support delivery maturity across the global organisation and strengthen the Community of Practice.
• Lead and mentor Associate Delivery Leads.

Key Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience delivering major software solutions across the full software development lifecycle, including transition into service.
• Strong attention to detail and solid understanding of major IT systems such as Finance, HR, or People Systems.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or other SDLC approaches; we choose the methodology that best fits the work.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Ability to influence and drive change across diverse stakeholder groups.

Desired Skills and Experience:
• Experience leading a full ERP or finance system implementation (e.g., Workday, D365).

• Microsoft Teams interview with the Global Head of Finance IT and a Delivery Director.
