SingleComm LLC is a venture funded startup based in Richmond Virginia and New York City. We develop and support an industry-leading contact center as a service platform used by businesses of all sizes to run their contact center operations. Our platform is deployed in AWS and allows contact centers of all sizes to replace their enterprise PBX and order management systems with a cloud based system. Your challenge, as our Senior Engineer – DevOps, will be to ensure our application exceeds our expectations of high availability, flexibility and cost effectiveness. You will work with our team of experienced engineers to build, maintain, automate and monitor our world class infrastructure in AWS.

Responsibilities

• Interact with our software engineering and QA teams to deploy and operate our AWS hosted applications

• Operate, build, and constantly improve our deployment, monitoring and operational systems

• Troubleshoot performance and availability issues, and manage a team of support engineers

• Continually create and implement strategies to scale, harden and optimize our application

Qualifications

• BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or an engineering related field

• 5+ years experience as a DevOps engineer Experience with Linux/Unix administration

• Shell scripting

• Automation and configuration management experience including experience with either Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or equivalents

• Strong AWS experience

• Effective written and verbal communication including the ability to write effective procedures and documentation for Tier 1 support staff

• Ability to manage Tier 1 and other support staff

• Bonus points for experience in telecom or real time communications environments
