Participate in the design and development of embedded real-time and Linux based environments.

Programming language is ‘C’. Scripting is utilized on the Linux based platforms.

Development areas include device drivers for proprietary hardware as well as Linux based systems. Strong focus will be on communications (WiFi, cellular, 900 Mhz technologies) and device control (acquisition and analysis of real-time data).

Collaborate with the team on architecture and design of applications.

Evaluate, recommend and integrate open source and 3rd party components.

Translate product requirements into robust, scalable and extendible implementations.

Proactively anticipate technical risks; design and develop solutions to mitigate risks

Generate and execute developer test plans and procedures

Work closely with QA group to review test plans and provide guidance on test automation
