Job Description Aurea is looking for a Senior Network Engineer for supporting our 2 data centers in San Jose, Coresite and Level3. The role will require you to be on call for supporting potential production outages, replacing faulty hardware and configuring Cisco, Juniper and Palo Alto devices. You will also need to reverse engineer unmaintained and abandoned cages with 500+ servers, create topology diagrams and understand how routing is configured between the 2 data centers. Additionally, you will be working with Aureas AWS migration team to support our products migration on AWS and transforming our current physically bound deployment to a cloud hybrid solution between AWS and one of the 2 DCs. You will be dealing with all the hard problems hybrid cloud solutions suffer from, like network bandwidth, latencies, redundancy and uptime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining hardware infrastructure, replacing faulty hardware.
  • Being on call for troubleshooting and fixing network related issues that affect our products uptime metrics.
  • Being the POC between Aurea and the Datacenters.
  • Working with switches, routers, inter-site connectivity.
  • Doing reverse engineering in abandoned purely maintained cages and creating network topologies.
  • BGP & IPs Advertising. Working with ISP to advertise IPs from our datacenters.
