Want to know what you’ll be doing?
Build scalable, efficient and high-performance pipelines/ workflows that are capable of processing large amounts of batch and real-time data.
Build out our data service/data warehouse architecture to support internal and customer facing application use cases.
Normalize the database design.
Multidisciplinary work supporting real-time streams, ETL pipelines, data warehouses and reporting services
Bring new and innovative solutions to the table to resolve challenging performance and load issues
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc
Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using Java, Python, and SQL
Respond quickly to bug fixes and enhancement requests and be able to take directions and complete tasks on-time with minimal supervision.
Must be proficient in:
10+ years of RDBMS with SQL Data Engineering, Data services design.
10+ Strong Java development. Python and Java Preferred.
Expertise in operational data stores and real time data integration
Expertise in designing relational database and data modeling
Experience with RESTful APIs and server-side APIs integration
Cross platform (Linux/Macintosh/Windows) — don’t need to be an expert on all three, but cannot be afraid of any.
Bonus points for:
Maria DB
Cassandra experience
Salesforce

This position is located in San Mateo, California but will also consider remote work as long as you’re no more than three time zones away and can come to San Mateo now and then.
