What You’ve Done:
You have developed models for important metrics such as user churn, trial conversion, etc.
You have worked with data modeling and data quality.
Experience doing ad-hoc data analysis for a variety of teams.
You have experience designing and developing reports across a number of functions within the company.
You have knowledge of Elasticsearch and building dashboards in Kibana.
You’ve worked with both relational and non-relational data stores.
Nice to Haves:
You have been a major contributor to operating systems at scale.
You’ve worked with common data modeling tools.
You have owned or lead for a critical metric or analytics project.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be the point person for making sure that the raw data we use for our critical performance indicators flows into our reporting systems.
Spot check the data to make sure that there are no obvious issues with ingesting it. And, provide access to this data when needed.
Respond to basic questions about how the data is gathered and what it means.
Generate reports and/or data dumps based on requirements provided by key partners. Contribute to automation of these reports.
Be the owner in Cloud for understanding the key metric requirements and lead any dev work required to expand our metering and analytics.
Be the dedicated point person from Cloud to work with Sales, Marketing, PM, etc. when planning key performance metrics and other detailed requirements.
Take requirements for meaningful metrics and analytics and translate them into actions/tasks for Cloud Engineering to implement.
Develop a deep understanding of the conclusions that can and can’t be drawn from the data we’re collecting and relate and document this to our operation systems.
Help define and develop data feeds, more complex reports, etc. based on the requirements of the business and Cloud.
Lead the data quality for our analytics and meaningful metric data. Ensure that we’re getting the data we need and that it’s as error free as possible.
Tackle problems with data and reports.
Be able to answering critical metric related questions coming from outside the Cloud Team. (IE: from PM, Sales, Marketing, etc.)
Develop analytical models to identify trends, calculate critical metrics and identify anomalies. Use these models to generate reports and data dumps that enrich our key performance indicators efforts.
Be the main point of contact on the Cloud Group that reviews and signs off on the regular reports that we deliver to the Cloud Team.
