AREX is a new clever way for businesses to turn their sales receivables into working capital. We’re looking for a superstar Sr. C/C++/D Developer to join our fast-growing team on the Maltese Islands in the Mediterranean. As a backend engineer, you’ll be working in our engineering team with some of our demanding core components, messaging patterns and designing beautiful reusable interfaces that expose that well-thoughtout business logic.

Co-founded by Maventa’s founder, Wallstreet Systems Head of Alliances and Skype’s Database Architect, we’re aiming to plug the € 250 billion financing gap that currently hampers businesses growth in Europe.

So, what’s the role?

You will be contributing to our core backend services that are related to the contract and collateralization, matching engines and real-time settlement & trade clearing services. Our infrastructure relies on a timely and orderly executed workflow, where recovery from failures needs to be quick and components need to catch up to reach consistency quickly. If you enjoy working with concurrency, parallellism and messaging, this job is something that you might thrive in.

We’re looking for somebody to have:

Extensive experience in C/C++ or D languages Detailed understanding Boost libraries, such as Boost. asio Experience in time-critical systems with soft real time constraints. Vast experience in system languages build tools (Scons, make) Vast experience in writing algorithms and interfaces A showcase or portfolio of open source code we can review

Always a plus:

Experience with Go or Rust Experience with ZeroMQ messaging library Experience with in-process caching; LevelDB, WhiteDB, LMDB

Salary and compensation

$30,000 — $85,000/year
