LeagueCast is looking for a senior level Application Developer. You will be responsible for modifying and maintaining our amateur sports web application. Ideally, you will have a passion for sports, building great products, and are comfortable working in an open-ended, evolving environment where communication is vital. You’ll be a part of a passionate team who is looking to significantly enhance the experiences of amateur sports operators, participants and fans. This is an exciting opportunity in an attractive industry – we are looking to significantly accelerate our pace and disrupt a $25+ billion industry which has seen increased investor interest and funding over the past 2+ years.

Details As the lead application developer, you will be doing the following: • Program and deliver elegant and maintainable code • Work closely with the co-founders to continue to push the web application forward by effectively addressing the largest needs of our outstanding customers • Participate in an agile environment, including Scrum estimations and sprint retrospectives Requirements • 5+ years experience developing web applications, ideally within an agile, startup environment • Proficient in PHP and one other object-oriented language • Competent understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including Bootstrap • Experience with MySQL and general relational database concepts • Strong problem solving, debugging skills • Experience writing unit tests • Ability to interface with business stakeholders and engineers Preferred Skills • PHP Frameworks, particularly Laravel • Familiarity with implementing and using testing and continuous integration technologies • Familiarity with NoSQL and API development • Mobile experience (e.g., Cordova / Phonegap)

Salary and compensation

$25,000 — $50,000/year
