Role Overview

As a SDET (Automation) you will be instrumental in enhancing and supporting our internal libraries’ stability while collaborating with cross functional teams to establish test strategies, and developing automated tests while creating and managing analytics based insights.

Senior SDET for Labs areas of involvement for the next 6-12 months:

  1. Integration Tests for Internal Libraries:
    • Developing and maintaining integration tests for internal libraries (e.g., kk-auth, kk-request-id logger).
  2. KML End-to-End (E2E) Tests with AWS Accounts:
    • Designing and supporting a testing system that covers configuration rules and policies.
    • Collaborating with Cloud Specialists to ensure comprehensive coverage.
    • This is a critical and large-scale project.
  3. Lab Analytics Dashboards and Service Development:
    • Creating and managing analytics-based alerting and insights on issues with specific environments and scenarios.
    • Owning and prioritizing this previously overlooked but essential area.
  4. Lab Feedback Funnel Management:
    • Revamping and managing the lab feedback funnel that has been inactive since its inception 3-4 years ago.
    • Utilizing feedback to gain insights on lab performance from end-users’ perspectives.
  5. Improving Stability and Supporting Lab Services Testing Automation:
    • Enhancing stability and supporting automation of testing for lab services, including integration, unit, and end-to-end testing for services such as LM, LUT, LQA, MCQ, and possibly Labs-gate.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of lab services.
  • Analyze end-user errors, feedback, and reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement testing frameworks and strategies.
  • Monitor and maintain testing systems to ensure their effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on Lab analytics and feedback data.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance and automated testing.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness or experience with technologies like other than QA (Linux, CI/CD, Bash scripts).
