We’re looking for a Compliance Officer in Saudi Arabia to join our global team. This role is critical to maintaining banking relationships and managing internal reporting.
What will I be doing?
– KYC Onboarding:
Manage the KYC onboarding process for new and existing customers in Saudi Arabia, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
– Transaction Monitoring:
Set up, maintain, and enhance transaction monitoring to identify and report suspicious activity in Saudi Arabia, and perform regular reviews to confirm effectiveness.
– AML/CFT Compliance:
Be the main contact for AML/CFT matters in Saudi Arabia. Maintain strong knowledge of local AML and CFT requirements and develop appropriate policies and procedures.
– Regulatory Compliance:
Stay current on Saudi Arabia’s payments industry regulations. Share regulatory updates—especially those related to AML/CFT—with internal teams and build strong relationships with local regulators.
– Remittance Compliance:
Develop and apply compliance procedures for remittances and cross-border payments, ensuring all activities follow Saudi regulatory requirements.
– Risk Assessments:
Conduct ongoing risk assessments to identify and reduce compliance risks, working with other departments to implement mitigation measures.
– Reporting:
Clearly communicate AML/CFT findings and compliance concerns to the appropriate stakeholders, ensuring reports are accurate and submitted on time as required by Saudi regulations.
– Training and Awareness:
Deliver compliance training focused on AML/CFT in the Saudi market and help promote a strong compliance culture across the company.
What skills and qualifications do I need?
– A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; certifications such as CAMS, ACAMS, or ICA are required.
– 4–6 years of legal experience in consultancy, AML, transaction monitoring, or KYC within banking or fintech.
– Demonstrated compliance experience in financial services, especially payments and remittances.
– Strong knowledge of KYC, transaction monitoring, and AML/CFT regulations in Saudi Arabia.
– Awareness of Saudi payments industry regulations.
– Experience working with Saudi regulators and maintaining strong professional relationships.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
