We are seeking a Compliance Officer in Saudi Arabia to join our global team. This role is essential for maintaining banking relationships and managing internal reporting.

What will I be doing?

• KYC Onboarding:
Oversee and manage the KYC onboarding process for new and existing customers in Saudi Arabia, ensuring compliance with both local and international regulations.

• Transaction Monitoring:
Implement and improve transaction monitoring systems to detect and report suspicious activity in Saudi Arabia. Conduct regular reviews to ensure these systems are effective.

• AML/CFT Compliance:
Act as the main point of contact for AML/CFT matters in Saudi Arabia. Maintain strong knowledge of local AML and CFT regulations and develop relevant policies and procedures.

• Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on the regulatory framework for the payments industry in Saudi Arabia. Communicate regulatory changes—especially AML/CFT-related—to internal stakeholders and build strong relationships with local regulators.

• Remittance Compliance:
Create and apply compliance procedures for remittances and cross‑border payments, ensuring all activities meet Saudi Arabian regulatory requirements.

• Risk Assessments:
Regularly perform risk assessments to identify and reduce compliance risks. Work with other departments to apply mitigation strategies.

• Reporting:
Present AML/CFT findings and compliance issues clearly to relevant stakeholders. Ensure accurate and timely reporting as required by Saudi regulations.

• Training and Awareness:
Provide compliance training with a focus on AML/CFT in the Saudi market and promote a strong compliance culture across the organization.

What skills and qualifications do I need?

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; certifications such as CAMS, ACAMS, or ICA are required.
• 4–6 years of legal experience in consultancy, AML, transaction monitoring, or KYC within banking or fintech.
• Proven experience in compliance within financial services, particularly payments and remittances.
• Strong knowledge of KYC, transaction monitoring, and AML/CFT regulations in Saudi Arabia.
• Familiarity with Saudi payment industry regulations.
• Experience working with Saudi regulators and maintaining strong professional relationships.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
